iPhone Macro tip

I’ve had an iPhone 13 Pro for >2 years, & from the beginning, have been frustrated by an inability to keep it from going into Macro mode.
This is an issue if you’re trying to shoot through a window or screen, or if you’re trying to shoot through the eyepiece of a microscope/telescope, where you want it to focus on infinity instead of on the eyepiece itself.

I recently found the solution:
Go to Settings/Camera, and turn on Macro Control.
Focus on a close object to go into Macro mode, and you’ll see the Macro icon at lower left.
Press the Macro icon to toggle it OFF. It will now ignore closeup objects until you turn off the camera.
This only took me >2 years to discover.
