Monitor color too saturated?

About a year ago I bought a new BenQ monitor to use with my desktop computer. This monitor has high resolution (4K) and a very wide color gamut, which are great for editing photos. However, even after color calibrating the monitor, I found that the screen colors were too saturated. Several go-rounds with the BenQ techs didn't resolve the matter, and there is no way to adjust the saturation with the manual controls on the monitor, so I decided to live with it. Then I had a brainstorm: I opened the panel for controlling my computer's video card by right clicking on the screen and then left clicking on "NVIDIA Control Panel." (Yours will be different if you don't have an NVIDIA-brand card!) Within the panel was a slider for increasing or decreasing the "digital vibrance," which I was able to adjust to get the screen's color saturation just the way I wanted it.
