Excellent Exhibit at McGuffey

Fellow photo fiends....
There is an outstanding exhibit in the Smith Gallery on the main floor at McGuffey, running from now through the end of March. The artist, Scott Smith, is also hosting a reception this Friday (March 4) at 5:30.

Scott's photography is remarkable - this exhibit has two themes in my mind, one of which focuses on photographed paper images, primarily black and white.

I urge you to go take a look. His work is unusual, and truly beautiful. If you do go, please say hello and introduce yourself as a member of the Camera Club. I am also going to propose that he come and speak to us about his work at one of our meetings.

Here is a link to his FB page:

I saw Scott's exhibit today and I agree with Fax that it is exceptional. After seeing the show, I went up to Scott's studio and visited him for ten or fifteen minutes, just to let him know how much I enjoyed his photographs. FYI he will have more of his work on display in his studio during the two hour show opening on Friday night.

If you haven't yet seen Scott Smith's amazing exhibit at the McGuffey Art Center, you still have a few days. It closes on Sunday, March 27, and there will be an exhibit closing party from 2-4pm. Scott will speak briefly at about 3pm and will take questions about his process and approach to his subjects. Don't miss this!
