If you can get to DC, there are some good photo workshops at Capital City Photography. I took one on Photoshop that I thought was excellent (even though I need a refresher!). In addition to classroom based courses, there are field courses in cityscape (think Chinatown, monuments), museums, the arboretum, and many more.
