Constitution

Article I NAME

The name of the organization is Charlottesville Camera Club.

Article II PURPOSE

To foster photography as an art, a hobby, and a vocation by sharing knowledge and experience, mutual support and encouragement, and good companionship.

Article III MEMBERSHIP

We welcome new members and visitors of all levels of experience, from beginner to expert.

Article IV EXECUTIVE COMMITTEE

The executive committee of this club is comprised of the president, vice president, secretary, treasurer, immediate past president, and the elected committee chairs.

Article V VACANCIES

Section 1. If the office of the president becomes vacant for any reason, it will be filled for the remainder of the term by the immediate past president.

Section 2. If any other office other than that of president becomes vacant, it will be filled by appointment by the president for the remainder of the term.

Article VI MEETINGS

Regular club meetings will be held once a month unless our changing needs require a second regular meeting. Any changes in frequency will have to be approved by a majority of members.

Article VII BYLAWS

Bylaws for the transaction of club business may be adopted, revoked, or amended as needed, providing that members receive at least one month’s written notice.

Article VIII AMENDMENTS

Amendments to this constitution may be made at any time, providing that members receive at least one month’s written notice.
