Workshop--Shooting the Street

Thursday, September 21, 2017 - 6:30pm to 8:45pm

"Street Photography" is a broad term encompassing several sub genres of candid photography, including portrait, event, architecture, fashion, travel, documentary, and journalism, among others. This initial workshop, led by Steve Muskie, will explore and discuss several of those genres. We will look at examples of many photographs, both black and white and color. We'll also discuss cameras and lenses from phones to DSLRs and more: what works best for certain genres and work styles. Finally, we will discuss the fear or intimidation of photographing strangers and approaches to overcoming it.

It is likely that there will be a follow-up workshop to show street photos shot by workshop participants and discuss their experiences.
