Photography Class: The Challenges of Wildlife Photography

Sunday, September 22, 2024 - 4:00pm to 5:30pm
Ivy Creek

Jim Wolfe will tell us how he gets the beautiful wildlife photos we've all come to admire. He'll cover the general principles of photographing wildlife, as well as proper camera settings for doing action-type photography. How to use autofocus to obtain the sharpest image using a telephoto lens will be discussed. Also, the talk will include doing backyard photography of small birds, and recommendations for equipment needed for wildlife photography.

This will be an in-person event held in the Education Building at Ivy Creek Natural Area. The presentation will be in PowerPoint, with a demonstration of equipment and technique following. The PowerPoint will be recorded for those who can't make it person.
