Bring out the essence of an object or any other subject by emphasizing its basic form, using light and shadow, perspective, contrasting colors, or any other means. Consider hard, angular, geometric shapes to soft, flowing, organic ones.

Rachel Wilson will judge our November competition.  Rachel has taught photography at Charlottesville High School for almost 20 years.  After graduating from Ohio University with a degree in visual communications, Rachel worked for several years as a photojournalist.  In addition to her work as an instructor, Rachel enjoys documenting special events and capturing personalities through wedding photography and portraiture.
