Lightroom's Adjustment Brush--The Basics and Beyond

Wednesday, November 14, 2018 - 6:30pm to 8:45pm

Adobe Lightroom has become the go-to photo managing and editing software for many photographers, and the Adjustment Brush has become one of the most useful tools available within the program.

This workshop will cover all the basics of using this versatile tool, including an introduction to its most recently added features. But we'll go beyond the basics in demonstrating some of the more creative options the brush offers you for enhancing the appeal of your photos.

You'll get a lot from this workshop just by coming and observing what we cover, but if you have Lightroom loaded on a laptop, I highly recommend you bring it to the workshop so you can follow, step-by-step, what we'll be demonstrating. If you don't use Lightroom but have Photoshop instead, you will also be able to follow along using the Adobe Camera Raw feature within Photoshop, which has the same functions as those found in Lightroom. (Sorry, but the adjustment brush we'll be using is not available in Photoshop Elements.)

As the first part of the demo and practice, we'll all be working on the same raw files, which I will provide to you before the workshop begins, either via e-mail or when you arrive. But if you want to bring a photo of your own to work on, please do so. If time allows, we'll project some of your photos and then work with you to make appropriate enhancements using the adjustment brush.

Because of the hands-on nature of this workshop, we'll need you to sign up ahead of time. You can simply e-mail me at gbishop60@comcast.net and let me know if you plan on being there. I'll also send around an e-mail reminder before the event.

Hope to see you there!
