Tom Mangelson, one of the truly great wildlife photographers, will offer a 2-day FREE online course in wildlife photography. The course will be given on December 2 and 3, from 12 noon to 7 pm, (EST). Drawing lessons from his 40 years of observing and photographing the Earth's last great wild places, Tom will discuss the complex process behind his breathtaking wildlife photographs. You’ll learn:
• What it takes to be a great wildlife photographer
• How to capture wildlife in their natural environment
• The best places to find animals
• How to increase the visibility of your work
• The importance of respecting wildlife and wildlife ethics
Tom will cover the basics of gear and scouting and teach you how to think about lighting when capturing animals in the wild. Tom will also offer a critique images and portfolios submitted by viewers.

Legendary nature photographer Thomas D. Mangelsen has traveled throughout the natural world for nearly 40 years observing and photographing the Earth's last great wild places. His amazing photography has appeared in National Geographic, BBC Wildlife, Life, Newsweek, Wildlife Art, and many other publications. Mangelsen was named Wildlife Photographer of the Year by BBC and one of the Most Influential Nature Photographers by Outdoor Photography. One of the most prolific nature photographers of our time, Mangelsen is as much an artist as he is a conservationist.

This class will be broadcast live and for free 9:00am - 4:00pm (PST), which is 12 noon -7:00pm (EST).
