Help! Need advice: Slide Show/PowerPoint Advice wanted

I am working on a large 15 section slide show for computer that will use PDF files. The images are between 100kb and 300kb and slides average 3 or 4mb each. The computer will be an old one so may not have much RAM. I want it to be fully automatic so it will simply run. What is the best way to do this? Should I use a PowerPoint program and break it into smaller sections with links or use a thumb drive and just have it in order? would a chip do? Do the images need to be on the thumb drive as well? I am not sure what kind of program is on the computer.

Wish I could help, but I don't haven't done much powerpoint. Have you talked to John Hulburt? He does a lot of presentation stuff.

Ginger, first I would appropriately resize all images. You don't need slides that are higher resolution than the projector will project. When you have your presentation ready then go to File > Export. This page will give you various options to choose from. The process of creating a PDF or package for CD will ensure that all files are included. Make sure you test on a different computer than the one you created the presentation on.
