Lightroom Update

Adobe has just released a significant update to LR 6 and LRCC. There are numerous reports of bugs causing system crashes especially on Macs. I am advising my classes NOT to upgrade at this time until Adobe fixes these issues. One of my students reported a system crash after installing the update requiring a LR deinstall followed but reinstall of original version. In addition, the import process has been " dumbed down" eliminating a number of capabilities including elimination of destination folder tree.
Jim, Gerry - you should consider informing the basic and intermediate groups if you agree this is a major problem.

Sorry I didn't see this before upgrading!
Major Bug- it won't import from SD card w/o crashing. Solution: move files in Finder to a desktop folder.
But now it won't export the file..

Help from the Kelby Team. Adobe has a real real mess here to fix fast. Will be interesting to see if they revert the import process back to previous interface because there has been such strong negative reaction.

Adobe recently apologized and announced that all the bugs are fixed in latest update. Yesterday, Adobe announced that the next upgrade will include a revert to previous import process and discard the new import process that was so poorly received by users. This change along with additional minor bug fixes will be in the .3 update but no release date was announced.
